IF YOU couldn’t tell from his ever-present smile, Australian Formula 1 star Daniel Ricciardo is absolutely loving life — away from the track as well as on it.
In a rare insight into his private life, the Red Bull driver has spoken about his relationship with high school sweetheart Jemma Boscovich.
Boscovich, who like Ricciardo hails from Perth, has her own jewellery line and the pair are intensely private.
They now live in Monaco and she attends most of his races.
“There are some hot girls around — don’t worry about that, we do travel the world and there are some gorgeous females,” Ricciardo said in an interview with Sunday Night, to air this evening.
“I have only got eyes on one, sorry ladies, I know I have just broken a lot of hearts.”
Ricciardo also told The West Australian: “Yep, life is good. I’ve been living in Monaco for about a year now and really enjoy living there. If I could live in Australia I would, but logistically it doesn’t work.”
Regarded as one of the nice guys of F1, Ricciardo insists he has a meaner side.

“A lot of people will judge me on face value, smiling and having fun,” he told The West Australian.
“It is who I am, I mean, I don’t put it on. But it’s easy to assume that I’m a nice guy and even in the thick of the competition, you know, I’d still be that nice guy.
“[But] I’m a bit of an animal behind the wheel of a race car.”
He says he tries to keep tabs on what’s going on back home — particularly in the AFL.
“Home’s home you know, I do miss it,” Ricciardo said. “I miss the beaches ... the weather, climate, air everything. I keep in touch with the AFL. I got the AFL pass so I can watch it all over the world ... West Coast is my team. But I’ll always get back for Christmas.”
On his highly scrutinised relationship with teammate Sebastian Vettel, who the Australian has surprisingly outperformed this season, Ricciardo said the two were on good terms.
“We are at a point where I have won three races, he hasn’t won any but he still acts the same around me,” Ricciardo said.
“We still talk about the car and other things, you know, tells me how his baby girl is going and all the rest of it. I think for a racing relationship, teammate scenario it is as good as can be.”
