DON’T be fooled by the beer guzzling, profanity spewing, handle bar moustache wearing exterior of the average Territory bloke — they are Australia’s most eligible bachelors.
And if you want a second opinion, simply ask them again.
Territory bachelors have been rated the most intelligent, sensitive, passionate and romantic bachelors in the country, according to a survey by eHarmony.
More than 49,450 of the dating site’s users were reportedly surveyed and asked to rate themselves on the above qualities.

Litchfield-based plumber Chris ‘Dangas’ Shea, 34, said he agreed with the findings because he was “the best root for sure”.
“We’re stayers,” he said of Territory men.
“We’ve got the stamina and we’re built for heat and the harsh conditions.”
But most locals surveyed by the NT News disagreed with the results.
Humpty Doo resident Rhiannon Backman, 24, said the survey was “bullshit” and romantic Territory men didn’t exist.
“My ex once said ‘let’s go to dinner ... you’re shouting’,” she said.
“I’ve been trying to find someone with old fashioned values that treats a woman with respect and pulls out chairs but those type of people aren’t from here.
“If you find someone like that, please ask them to call me.”

Humpty Doo bachelor Ray Ford, 71, said there was no need for romance.
“I can’t remember the last romantic thing I did,” he said.

The “happily divorced” former truck driver said he’s “had enough of women” when it comes to dating.
“I can be passionate, like everybody else, I’m not dead.”
Mr Ford said he wasn’t sure how the intelligence of Territory men compared with southern counterparts.
“I do crosswords and I’ve got a computer but I wouldn’t know if that means you’re intelligent,” he said.
Mr Ford said a lot of Territory men have a gruff exterior but are “not all that bloody tough” on the inside.
Boilermaker Joel Griffiths, 33, said Territory men could be sensitive.
“If my wife is upset, I just go to her straight up and say ‘what’s up’?” he said.
